Imran Khalifa

Imran Khalifa leads the Business and Customer Insights department at  EMD Serono Canada. He has over 14 years of
strategic marketing and analysis experience that is global in scope - U.S, Canada, Europe, Asia & Fortune 500
Companies and spans the life sciences spectrum- Pharmaceuticals (brands and generics), Biotechnology, Consumer
Healthcare, Medical devices, Healthcare IT, Clinical diagnostics and Drug discovery technologies.

Imran’s core skill set has been acquired through a combination of industry and strategic consulting experience and
include Marketing Research, Forecasting, Competitive Intelligence and Benchmarking, Business Intelligence and
Analytics, Sales Operations and Effectiveness, CRM, Strategic Planning, Product Management and Business
Development.

Prior to joining EMD Serono Canada, Imran was Marketing Research Manager at Genpharm ULC (now Mylan Canada).
Before that, he was Consulting Manager, Healthcare at Frost and Sullivan. He has also worked as a Product Manager
with Bergen Healthcare.

Imran's educational qualifications include the B.Sc. (Microbiology) and MBA (Marketing) degrees and he has achieved
CCPE accreditation.He is a certified Competitive Intelligence Professional (CIP) and a Certified Marketing Research
Professional (CMRP). Imran is also in the process of completing his doctoral thesis in business studies.

Marjorie Macpherson
Director, Strategic Analytics and Insights

Marjorie Macpherson leads the Strategic Analytics and Insights department at Roche in Canada. Roche is a global
leader in providing innovative medicines and diagnostic solutions, transforming the treatment of many diseases,
including breast cancer, lymphoma, rheumatoid arthritis and skin cancer.   

Following a successful career in primary market research consulting, Marjorie has spent the last 15 years in the
pharmaceutical industry in a progressive series of roles at GSK, Biovail Pharmaceuticals Canada and most recently at
Roche. During this time, she has developed expertise across multiple therapeutic areas and key commercial functions
including marketing and sales analytics, sales force effectiveness and operational management.

Elys Roberts
President
Ipsos Health

Elys manages the North American team of Ipsos Health, one of the largest market research agencies in the industry.
Spanning over 15 years, his diverse background in the healthcare sector includes market research, sales and
marketing and management positions on the client-side, agency-side and fieldwork supplier.

Prior to Ipsos, he founded and served as Group President for Medefield America rapidly shaping it into one of the
largest and most successful providers of global online physician fieldwork in the industry.

Previously, he was head of Global Market Research Business Training at NOP Health (now GfK) and headed one the
company’s marketing research Strategic Business Units. Working client side, Elys spent seven years in Eli Lilly’s Sales
and Marketing leadership program in Europe in diverse roles including Market Research Manager, Marketing and
District Sales Manager.

Elys is on the Board of MRII (a non-profit) and is co-editor for their learning program the Principles of Pharmaceutical
Marketing Research. He graduated with a B.A.(summa cum laude) from Manchester University, England and holds an
exam Distinction from the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry.

Sue Schramayr, MSc, MBA
Director, Marketing
Gilead Sciences Canada Inc.

Sue Schramayr is Director of Marketing at Gilead Sciences Canada, a biopharmaceutical company specializing in
medications for life threatening illnesses such as HIV and Hepatitis.  Over the last 5 years she has helped solidify the
foundation for a commercial operation in Canada and has led the Marketing Teams through 6 new product launches,
establishing a leadership presence for this new company.

Prior to joining Gilead, Sue has held a variety of leadership positions in the innovative pharmaceutical and biotech
industry both in Canada and Internationally.  She has a track record of delivering results in a range of functional areas
including Specialty Sales, Marketing, Market Research and Commercial Operations.

Rod Tarajos
Business Analysis and Information Team Lead
Amgen Canada

Rod Tarajos leads the Business Intelligence team at Amgen Canada where he is responsible for the primary market
research, secondary data analysis, commercial forecasting and competitive intelligence functions.  He specializes in
applied analytical techniques and the effective communication of detailed technical information to business users.  

Prior to joining Amgen in 2006, he spent the previous twelve years at IMS Health in market research, sales, supply
chain management and management consultant roles. Rod’s professional experience covers extensive work with
healthcare stakeholders including wholesalers, retailers, manufacturers, physicians and academics.

An applied econometrician by formal training, Rod holds a Masters degree in Business Economics as well as an MBA,
both from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Arima Ventin
Director of Marketing and Market Access
Forest Laboratories Canada Inc.

Arima Ventin has been working in the Healthcare sector for over 15 years. She is a graduate of the University of
Toronto, Faculty of Pharmacy and maintains an active license in the province of Ontario. She completed a bilingual,
international Masters degree in Business Administration from IESE, University of Navarra in general management. She
has held progressive positions within the branded Pharmaceutical Industry including sales representative, sales
management, new product planning, brand & group product management, market research, and selling effectiveness
across primary care and specialty markets. In her most recent role as the Director of Marketing and Market Access for
Forest Laboratories Canada Inc., she is leading the commercialization efforts with a focus on marketing, pricing and
reimbursement. Throughout her career, she has been involved with various types of alliances including marketing and
sales co-promotions.  She has experience in various disease states including, interventional cardiology, diabetes care,
rheumatology, transplant medicine, respiratory, hemophilia, neuroscience, women’s health, dermatology, and infectious
disease.
